I am a Ph.D. student in Political Science (CDSS) at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Mannheim. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in civil engineering from the Cairo University in Egypt and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Texas in Austin, USA.

I obtained my Master’s degree in political science at the University of Mannheim with my thesis titled “The People vs. Human Rights”, which investigated the relation between populist and technocratic attitudes and support for various human rights. My research interests include research methods, especially geodata, the war in Ukraine, populism, and attitudes towards human rights particularly in the context of competing economic and strategic considerations.
